Kejriwal inaugurates 50-MGD water treatment plant in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has inaugurated a 50-million gallon water treatment plant in the Dwarka Sector 16 area of the national capital.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has inaugurated a 50-million gallon water treatment plant in the Dwarka Sector 16 area of the national capital.

"The water treatment plant will help as its capacity is 50 MGD. We will try that Haryana gives more water, we will talk to them. This is also a big achievement," said West Delhi MP, Pravesh Verma.

"In Delhi around 50 percent people get drinking water from tanks. If there is no line then how will they get water?" he added.

According to reports, about 13.4 lakh residents of the area are expected to gain after complete commissioning of the plant.
