A day after giving a detailed blueprint of her action plan for women safety in Delhi, BJP chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Thursday shared her 15-point program that will increase engagement with and development of Delhi's youth.

New Delhi: A day after giving a detailed blueprint of her action plan for women safety in Delhi, BJP chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Thursday shared her 15-point program that will increase engagement with and development of Delhi's youth.

The activist-turned politician took to Twitter to share the details of her plan for the youth of Delhi. "Without the power of youth, it is difficult to imagine anything. The youth of Delhi will be integral to our agenda," Bedi tweeted.

Sharing her action-plan using hashtag Kiransblueprint, the first of the fifteen points she gave was - 1) Youth participation in governance through education, training, and leadership development programs.

2) Apprenticeship programs created across various sectors of their choice including business, industry, govt in partnership with private sector.

3) Enable access for youth organisations to sports and other govt facilities: optimum utilisation of stadiums and sports facilities.

4) A simplified single window clearance for all regulatory permissions to promote increase in cultural and sports events for youth.

5) Move towards a Digital Delhi in sync with the Digital India campaign.

6)Encourage entrepreneurship via incubation: facilitation of investment forums,leverage unused spaces for co-working for startups.

7) Concerted programs on education and skill development focused on youth.

8) Drug and substance abuse awareness generation and rehabilitation programs.

9) Working with govt education institutions to establish health education and counselling to deal with academic, mental health and life-events issues.

10) Scholarships and exchange programs with domestic and foreign universities.

 

11) Involvement of youth in community service for programs in literacy, healthcare, civil defence.

12) Establish public libraries with electronic access / e-books.

13) Install exercise equipment in ring-fenced areas in public parks.

14) Encourage “Raahgiri” programs in more neighbourhoods.

15) Regular interaction with youth forums to exchange ideas and to stay current and relevant.

Delhi Legislative Assembly election, 2015 will be held on February 7 to elect 70 members. The results will be announced on February 10.

BJP has fielded Kiran Bedi from Krishna Nagar constituency against Aam Aadmi Party candidate SK Bagga.
