New Delhi: BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi on Friday announced that four women-focused mobile dispensaries, backed by her MPLAD fund, will be provided within the NDMC areas.
"Four mobile dispensaries for women of the areas will be provided within one month from my MP Local Area Development fund," Lekhi said today.
The four mobile dispensaries will travel around the city covering all the NDMC areas. The civic-body will facilitate the roll out of dispensaries to ensure women in the areas benefit from the initiative.
Lekhi, who inaugurated a new electric sub-station commissioned by NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Council), said that the problem of electricity supply of Pillanji Village will also be solved by establishing a new sub-station which has been approved by the civic-body and work for which is going to be completed soon.
Pillanji village was adopted by Lekhi last year to develop it as a model village.
Two electric sub-stations set up by NDMC at Ali Ganj-Jor Bagh and Sarojini Nagar were inaugurated today by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Rs 5.5 crore sub-station in Aliganj-JorBagh is a 33 KV grid sub-station having an installed capacity of 40 MVA. With this addition, whereas the transformation capacity in NDMC supply system would increase to 1400 MVA, number of 33 KV grid sub-stations would go up to 25.
With the commissioning of this sub-station, consumers in Aliganj, Jor Bagh, Lodhi Road, Lodhi Road Market, Khanna Market, Central Govt. Housing scheme and institutional/commercial establishments in the adjoining areas, would benefit in terms of quality and availability of power supply.
The 11 KV sub-station in Sarojini Nagar would enhance the distribution capacity in Sarojini Nagar area from 18 MVA to 20 MVA.
