Manish Sisodia orders probe into two cases of forged LTC bills

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday ordered a probe into two cases of forged Leave Travel Concession (LTC) bills by a principal and a former principal of two government schools.

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday ordered a probe into two cases of forged Leave Travel Concession (LTC) bills by a principal and a former principal of two government schools.

According to a senior government official, one Lal Singh, who was a principal of Government Co-Education Senior Secondary School in Chawala area in 2012, allegedly made "forged LTC bills" which run into Rs 1,64,883.

"It was found that instead of booking air tickets through authorised travel agent, Lal did the same through private travel agent. Lal has confessed to preparing forged LTC bills.

"We have imposed a fine on him which will be deducted from his pension," a government official said in a statement.

It also stated that in second case, a principal of government school, situated in Badarpur, has also been accused of allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a tour operator for clearing LTC bills of his school teachers.

"Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has ordered a probe in connection with the case," the government official said.
