New Delhi: A 9-year-old girl was allegedly raped at knife point by her neighbour in New Ashok Nagar area here on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Umesh, has been arrested.
According to police, the incident took place this afternoon when the girl, a class 4 student, was playing near her house.
"When she was playing, her neighbour Umesh (30) reached there and offered her a chocolate. Later, he took her in his room where he allegedly raped her at knife point. Umesh also threatened her of dire consequence if she revealed her ordeal to anyone," said a police officer.
Officer said that the girl, however, told her mother about the incident.
Thereafter, girl`s parents registered a complaint against Umesh.
