NCC cadets to play a vital role during C`Wealth Games: Dikshit

New Delhi: Praising the NCC for its
pioneering role in diverse fields, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila
Dikshit on Monday said its cadets would play a vital role during
the Commonwealth Games this year.

Dikshit said this when a group of NCC cadets from
across the country called on her.

She said the cadets have earned a reputation for
maintaining discipline and rendering constructive contribution
in nation building.

Officials later said 5,000 cadets would be deployed to
guide visitors and players during the Games.

The cadets, who are here to participate in the
Republic Day parade, also shared their experiences of staying
in the national capital.
