Pilot`s online video: Air India verifying facts

Air India management Tuesday said it is looking into the matter and will take action only after "verifying" facts.

New Delhi: Taking cognisance of an online music video of a pilot in uniform singing a song laced with expletives, Air India management today said it is looking into the matter and will take action only after "verifying" facts.

"We have seen the video. We are verifying the facts, that whether he is a pilot with the airlines or not, and also if the video is doctored or morphed. Management will have to verify all the facts before taking any action," Air India Joint Managing Director Naseer Ali said.
"We can`t have a knee jerk reaction. After proper verification, there is a provision of issuing show cause, so all legal procedures have to be followed," he added.

Titled "Air India Rap", the video shows the young pilot getting dressed for work only to be later told that his flight has been cancelled. His expletives-filled song pilot is about the situation in the national carrier.
The airline management was busy throughout the day to figure out who the pilot was. The song has left the airline and aviation ministry fuming.

The singer has also used sexist remarks against women cabin crew members.
