`Public` urges CM Arvind Kejriwal to take security cover

A section of Delhi`s populace on Friday gathered outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal`s Kaushambi residence and asked him to take the security cover offered by Delhi Police.

Ghaziabad: A section of Delhi`s populace on Friday gathered outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal`s Kaushambi residence and asked him to take the security cover offered by Delhi Police.

Raising slogans like "Jan jan se awaaz hai aayi, surksha le lo Arvind Bhai" (The public are asking you to take security), the protestors said the CM needed to take his security seriously as he was against graft, which will attract the ire of corrupt persons.

"We have come here to request Kejriwal to accept security cover. We have brought letters on which several persons have signed in favour of his taking security. We have handed over the letters to him," Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Sulatanpuri area, said.
Kumar said Kejriwal was dedicated to taking strict action against corrupt people and as a result, several persons may have enmity with him.

In such a situation, he should take the security cover being offered by Delhi Police.

Kejriwal has refused to take security cover, from both Delhi and Ghaziabad police.

Meanwhile, with hordes of people lining up outside Kejriwal`s residence, traffic movement in the area has been disrupted.
