Jaipur: BJP on Saturday alleged the UPA
government of being contemptuous of Supreme Court and
parliament, in order to shield the people involved in the 2G
spectrum and CWG scams.
Addressing BJP workers of Jaipur unit here, Deputy
Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Vidhansabha Ghanshyam Tiwari
claimed that the country was passing through a phase worst
than emergency and people in the entire country were suffering
due to the wrong policies of the central government.
He also said that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should step down from their
posts if they really wanted to eradicate corruption.
"The UPA government is working against the Supreme
Court and parliament just to save black money and those
involved in scams like CWG and 2G spectrum, and also trying to
demoralise constitutional institutions of the coutry," Tiwari
said.
"Public awareness is now much needed, hence a mass
rally is being organised by NDA on February 17 in the city to
protest against the wrong policies of the UPA government," he
said.
