New Delhi: A 26-year-old woman suffered severe burn injuries on her face and neck after being attacked with acid by two bikers in the city`s Nangloi area on Sunday.
The woman was on her way to the market where two men followed her on bike and the pillion rider threw acid on her. Both the accused ran away immediately.
Acting swiftly, the passersby took her to Safdarjung Hospital where she is recovering. As per the police, the woman suffered 31 percent burns, but is now stable. In her statement to the police, she suspects her uncle to be involved in this attack. A case has been registered.
