New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2016. Interested candidates can start applying from April 5, 2016.
The last date to apply for the same is April 25, 2016 however the candidates are advised to apply well ahead in time without waiting for last date of submission.
SBI has invited applications for Clerk recruitment 2016 of 13,726 Junior Associates & Junior Agricultural Associates.
It is to be noted that candidates can apply for vacancies in one state and for one post only.
Eligiblity criteria:
For Junior Associates: Candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central government.
For Junior Agricultural Associates: Graduation in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a government recognised university/Institute.
Age Limit:
The candidates should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1988 and not later than 01.04.1996.
However, there is a relaxation of upper age limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
SC/ST: 5 years
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
PWD (Gen): 10 years
PWD (SC/ST): 15 years
PWD (OBC): 13 years
Selection Procedure:
The selection process will consist of on-line tests (preliminary and Main examination), test of official and/or local language, interview.
Phase-I : Preliminary Examination:
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections - English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability.
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank.
Phase – II: Main Examination :
The structure of main examination will consist of four sections - General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
However, in Main examination, each test will have separate timing as mentioned above, unlike Prelimiary examination.
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.
General Information:
Candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application form after submitting the application.
On-line registration of application & fee payment will be available from 05.04.2016 to 25.04.2016.

The SBI aspirants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 600 for General and OBC which includes intimation charges. For SC/ST/PWD/XS candidates Rs 100 will be charged.
