London: Propaganda videos featuring rap music and Hollywood-style editing were some of the tactics the Islamic State (IS) terrorists are using to lure individuals to join the militant group, a media report said on Thursday.

According to French authorities, a "super jihadi" from France has recruited at least 80 per cent of the IS`s French-speaking terrorists through Hollywood style videos and rap music, the Daily Mail reported.

Omar Omsen, also known as Omar Diaby, 41, was born in Senegal but grew up in Nice, France.

Omsen moved to Syria in 2013 and was now seen by his followers as a spiritual leader. He leads a battalion of French jihadis and has produced a film celebrating the attacks on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo`s headquarters in January 2015 that killed 12 people.

The IS terrorists have a history of using of aspects of popular culture, such as rap music, to enhance their videos, the Daily Mail reports.

In April, pro-IS media group, al-Wa`ad media productions published a clip depicting the fall of the Eiffel Tower using graphics taken from the `Call of Duty` video game.

Omsen was among at least 1,700 French citizens who have left to fight for the IS.

At least 250 persons have been murdered in in the past 18 months by terrorists -- more than the total number of French nationals killed by them in the entire 20th century.
