BJP`s Smriti Irani files nomination from Amethi

Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Smriti Irani filed her nomination from Amethi to fight the Lok Sabha election in the constituency held by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.

Amethi: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Smriti Irani on Wednesday filed her nomination here to fight the Lok Sabha election in the constituency held by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
The actor-turned-politician will face the Congress vice president and Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kumar Vishwas in Amethi constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

On microblogging website Twitter, Irani, earlier in the day, tweeted:

On my way to file my nomination for Amethi, with the blessings of Durga Ma and enthusisatic support from the constituency residents.

Rahul Gandhi and Kumar Vishwas have already filed their nominations from the constituency.
Amethi goes to polls on May 07.
