New Delhi: The national capital is set to witness hectic political activity as campaigning for seven Lok Sabha seats ends on Tuesday.

Since Delhi is set to vote on April 10, all major political parties are expected to hold a series of rallies across the city and door-to-door campaigning in support of their candidates today.
Besides Delhi, it`s also the last day of campaigning for 92 Lok Sabha constituencies in 13 other states including Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has undertaken roadshows in several areas of Delhi where he had got a good response. Kejriwal, campaigning for party candidate Jarnail Singh in an open jeep on Monday, sought people`s support to bring a change in the political system.

Almost all senior Delhi BJP leaders also addressed rallies across the city, urging people to vote for the party and oust the "corrupt" UPA.
Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan slammed the Congress and AAP for making personal attacks "The Modi wave now sweeping the country has its roots in the national resolve to revive the era of progress and positivity which abruptly ended when the Communist-backed UPA came to power in 2004. After that it has been only downhill. The people of India will not blunder again," said Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan, who is contesting from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency.

Regretting the depths to which the political discourse has fallen in the run up to the elections 2014, Vardhan accused the Congress and AAP for lowering India`s prestige by making slanderous personal attacks.

Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely expressed confidence of a "better show" in the election compared to its performance in Assembly polls.

"After Rahul Gandhi`s historic rally yesterday at Dakshinpuri, the BJP has become afraid, and has cancelled the scheduled rally of Narendra Modi at the Ramlila Maidan," he said.
