Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today initiated action against a senior officer from General Administration Department (GAD) for submitting a "false" reply on floor of the House.

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today initiated action against a senior officer from General Administration Department (GAD) for submitting a "false" reply on floor of the House.

Parrikar told Legislative Assembly that action is being taken against the concerned officer for submitting a "manipulative" reply which was read out by the chief minister during the proceedings.
The officer, whose name was not disclosed by Parrikar, had submitted the reply on the issue raised by BJP legislator Subhash Phaldesai bringing to the notice of the House the pathetic condition of a state-run guest house at Altinho in Panaji.

The MLA narrated the sorry state of affairs at the guest house which he visited last night after attending the session.
The issue was raised today during the zero hour.

Parrikar read out the reply given by the officer claiming that everything was hunky dory at the state facility.

However, after reading out the reply, the chief minister said that the officer has submitted a "false" answer.

"I myself have witnessed the pathetic condition of the guest house. This reply is manipulative and I have decided to initiate action against the concerned officer who has submitted it," Parrikar said, adding that the problems at the guest house will be rectified by Sunday.
