Panaji: Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh took to Twitter to condemn Goa Police registering a case against a person who faces arrest for his pre-election anti-Narendra Modi tweets.

In his tweet Saturday Singh said that will the same police who were witch-hunting Devu Chodankar, a 31-year-old Mumbai-based shipbuilding professional, act against those who posted abusive comments about outgoing prime minister Manmohan Singh on the social media?
Singh wrote on Twitter: "Condemn registration of a case under IT Act against Devu Chodankar. Would the same police pls look at abusive postings against Dr MM Singh?"
The Goa Police`s urgency to arrest Chodankar has attracted criticism from the Opposition and civil society, resulting in protests outside the state police headquarters in Panaji.
