Woman gang-raped near Panaji

Panaji: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly
gang-raped at Betul village near here by six persons, police
said on Monday.

The prime suspect has been arrested.

According to a complaint filed by the woman, who works
as a domestic help in Nuvem village, six men kidnapped and
raped her at a hotel in Betul village, 40 kms away from Panaji
on Saturday evening.

Superintendent of Police Allan D`Sa said a manhunt has
been launched to nab them.

According to the police, the arrested accused under
the pretext of offering a lift to the victim took her to the
hotel on Saturday evening where five others joined him.
