Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat o Friday said that he would seek details of Karnataka Lokayukta
report on illegal mining in the neighbouring state.

"I will ask for the report. It`s a huge document to go
through, but we will study it," Kamat told reporters after the
state cabinet meeting on Friday.

The report reportedly also speaks of huge volumes of iron
ore being funnelled through Mormugao Port Trust, a port based
in Goa.

Kamat, however, said that Goa has put all its system in
place since October 2010 to ensure that illegal export of iron
ore is completely banned.

"We have a water-tight system in place. There is no
possibility of ore being illegally exported from our port," he
said.
