Ahmedabad airport director receives threat letter

Security has been beefed up at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel International Airport following a threat letter from a little known outfit.

following a threat letter from a little known outfit.

"Airport Director SVPIA Anuj Aggarwal on Tuesday received a
threatening letter written in English through regular post. It
was written by a terror outfit named Lashkare-el-Jehad," a
senior police official said.

A copy of the letter, which warned of an attack at the
airport, has been sent to the Central Industrial Security
Force, the force responsible for airport security, and
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Sudhir Sinha for further
investigation, an airport official said.

Following the letter, security has also been tightened at
other vital locations like railway stations and bus stops,
police said.
