Ahmedabad: Lashing out at the UPA government
at the Centre, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said
that people should ensure that Congress`s "misrule" did not
find its way into the state.
"After coming to power, Congress had promised to bring
down the prices of essential commodities in 100 days, but it
never happened. The people here should be vigilant to ensure
that Centre`s misrule doesn`t find way into Gujarat," Modi
said, speaking at his day-long Sadhbhavana fast in
Surendranagar district.
Sadbhvana Mission was undertaken to ensure that Congress-
led government`s "story of failures" did not enter the state,
he said.
"While the foreign investment in the country has fallen
by nearly 40 per cent, that in Gujarat has risen 20 per cent,"
Modi claimed.
He also announced a grant of Rs 2,660 crore for the new
developmental works in the district.
