Woman dies of swine flu; toll in Gujarat rises to 66

Rajkot: A 59-year-old woman died of swine
at the Civil Hospital here, taking the death count due to H1N1
infection in Gujarat to 66.

Geeta Nandlal, admitted to the medical facility on
December 7, died this morning, hospital sources said.

This was the second death due to swine flu in last
three days in the city. A 48-year-old woman, Jaya J Kaila,
succumbed to the viral disease on December 16.

Till now eight persons have died of the viral
infection in the city.

Meanwhile, according to the sources, four persons are
undergoing treatment for H1N1 at the Civil Hospital, while
blood samples of seven others had been sent to Ahmedabad for
test.
