Blast in Delhi-Panipat passenger train

A blast took place in a bogie of a passenger train here on Thursday night, causing minor injuries to a 15-year-old boy.

Panipat: A blast took place in a bogie of a passenger train here on Thursday night, causing minor injuries to a 15-year-old boy.

A number of seats of the train, which came from Delhi and reached Panipat at around 7:45 pm, were burnt after the blast took place at around 8:10 pm.

The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained.

 

According to The Times of India, technical teams of Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force, Crime Investigation Department, and the Panipat Police rushed to the site and the entire railway station was sealed.

On January 15, 2016, a low intensity explosion was reported in a passenger train that was about to depart for Ambala railway station from Panipat station.
