Sonepat: A Delhi-based software engineer and
three members of his family were killed and another seriously
injured in a road accident on national highway near here,
police said.
28-year-old Anuj, who was employed with a firm in Noida,
was killed on the spot when the car in which the family was
travelling was hit by a truck on the national highway near
Garhi village, about 30 km from here, yesterday.
His wife, Shalu Rani (25), their son Ansh (4) and Anuj`s
mother Dhapo Devi (62) too died on the spot, they said.
The family was a resident of Narela in Delhi.
Anita, who received serious injuries in the incident, was
taken to a hospital in Panipat and her condition was stated to
be critical, police said.
The truck driver escaped after the accident, they said,
adding a case has been registered against him.
