Rewari (Haryana): A minor girl was allegedly
raped several times during a period of three months by a man
in Dehlawas Gulabpura village of the district, police said.
The incident finally came to light after Shyam Lal (42)
forcibly took the 17-year-old girl on his motorcycle on May 29
to an isolated place at Gomla village, 35 km from here, and
allegedly drugged and raped her, according to the complaint
lodged by father of the victim.
The girl, after gaining senses, apprised her parents
about the incident and also told them that the accused had
repeatedly raped her during the past three months and warned
her of dire consequences if she revealed it to anyone.
After yesterday`s complaint, the girl was medically
examined here, and sexual assault was confirmed, they said.
Search for the culprit is on, they said.
