Hooda approves new awards to honour women

Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved the proposal to institute three new state-level awards to honour women who have excelled in various fields and shown exemplary courage.

state-level awards to honour women who have excelled in
various fields and shown exemplary courage.

The awards are - Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award,
Kalpana Chawla Shoriya Award and Bahin Shanno Devi Panchyati
Raj Award, Finance Minister Ajay Singh Yadav today said.

Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award would carry Rs one lakh
whereas Kalpna Chawla Shoriya Award and Bahin Shanno Devi
Panchyati Raj Award would carry Rs 51,000 each, he said.
