Navjot Singh Sidhu to campaign for BJP candidates in Haryana

Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu will address a series of election meetings in various parts of Haryana to garner support for BJP candidates for the October 15 Assembly elections.

Chandigarh: Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu will address a series of election meetings in various parts of Haryana to garner support for BJP candidates for the October 15 Assembly elections.

Sidhu is scheduled to address meetings at Ambala City, Naraingarh, Mullana and Jagadhri on October 7, a spokesman of the BJP state unit said on Sunday.

Actor-turned-politican Manoj Tiwari would also address rallies in Haryana tomorrow including in Panchkula and Yamunanagar.

Sidhu, has been a Lok Sabha MP from Amritsar for three terms. In the 2014 polls, he made way for senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley to contest from Amritsar. However, Jaitley lost the contest to Congress leader Amarinder Singh.

Sidhu, who currently features in 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' TV programme, would be seen involved in party activities after a long time when he campaigns in Haryana.
