Chandigarh: Rains lashed a few places in Punjab
and Haryana causing the temperatures to drop by a few
notches, the Met said here.
The city was lashed by 11.2 mm of rain and the maximum here
settled at 32.4 C, down two degrees than normal.
In Punjab, Ludhiana was the wettest place after being
lashed by heavy showers at 55.2 mm while the high there
dropped to 29.8 C, down three notches.
Patiala registered a high of 32.4 C, down one after being
lashed by 3.6 mm rain. The maximum at Amritsar settled at
34 degrees.
Ambala in Haryana also had a pleasant day at 31.9 C, down
two degrees after receiving 8.1 mm showers. Karnal registered
a high of 30.5 C, down three degrees after receiving light
showers.
The Met has forecast moderate to rather heavy rain or
thunder showers are likely to occur at a few places in Punjab
and Haryana during the next two days.
