Himachal Pradesh Assembly to commence from Dec 5

 Important bills like Lokayukta, Town and Country Planning would come up during the eight-day-long Winter Session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly to be held at Dharamshala from December 5.

Shimla: Important bills like Lokayukta, Town and Country Planning would come up during the eight-day-long Winter Session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly to be held at Dharamshala from December 5.

The session would have seven sittings, including a private member's day, and the House would also meet on Saturday.

Important business like Lokayukta Bill, Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Bill and some other business, which could not be taken up in the House during the Monsoon Session, which was adjourned sine die in August, would be transacted during this session.

The Budget Session of the Assembly was short this year due to Lok Sabha polls with only 14 sittings.

The Monsoon Session which was to be held from August 6 to August 29 with 14 sittings was cut short due to continued disruption by the opposition and only six sittings were held.
