New Delhi: The year 2015 witnessed many incidents and controversies. Despite being at the centre of many debates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the second politician after Dr APJ Abdul Kalam who generated the most positive sentiments in 2015.

Former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who died in July last year, was the most loved politician of 2015. No wonder he is called 'People's President'.

The others who figured in the 'The Goonj India Index 2015: 7 Deadly Indian Sins' were Bollywood celebrities and sports personalities.

After collecting the data from sources such as Google search, mentions on Twitter, mentions on popular Facebook pages, mentions in popular news websites and YouTube search, the report has concluded that Bollywood actor Salman Khan (296.44 GPM) received most love from Indians in 2015. 1 GPM is equal to an estimated reach of 100K on digital media.

He is followed by another Bollywood star Deepika Padukone (162.65 GPM), Dr APJ Abdul Kalam (128.46 GPM) and India's Test captain Virat Kohli (108.70).

Others who made to the list are Shah Rukh Khan (106.92 GPM), Akshay Kumar (92.89), Priyanka Chopra (87.55), Vijay (74.70), Sachin Tendulkar (74.70), Ranbir Kapoor (73.32), Prabhas (72.73), Aamir Khan (63.44), Hrithik Roshan (59.49), Mahesh Babu (59.49), Cristiano Ronaldo (48.62), Amitabh Bachchan (48.62), Taylor Swift (48.62), MS Dhoni (39.72) and Roger Federer (39.72).
