Arun Jaitley likely to be discharged from hospital today

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

Jaitley was shifted to the AIIMS from from the Max Super Specialty Hospital in South Delhi on Sunday, and was advised a few days' rest to completely recover.

Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had on Monday said Jaitley is recovering fast from his ailments and will be fit soon.

"He just needs rest, there is nothing wrong," he had added.

Meanwhile, a senior doctor from AIIMS told a news agency that Jaitley has been kept in isolation at the Cardiothoracic and Neurosciences Centre of AIIMS.

Jaitley, who is also the defence minister, underwent laparoscopic procedure for diabetes management at the Max Super Specialty Hospital in the beginning of September. He was admitted to Max hospital last Sunday.
