Delhi: Juned Qazi, supposedly a member of the Indian National Overseas Congress, said on Monday that weekend with Charlie Rose conference was over and he had no information that Rahul Gandhi attended it.

He also said, as per a TV channel, that the Congress vice president's name was not in the speakers list.

Qazi further added that Rahul's office had not given him a satisfactory response on whether he was attending Charlie Rose conference or not.

He added that it was disappointing that Rahul was ignoring Congress workers who work hard for the party in the United States.

However, there was no official confirmation from the Congress about Qazi's role in the party.

Amid speculation by BJP about his whereabouts, Congress VP today tweeted a picture of his attending the Aspen conference in the US.

The tweet in his official Twitter handle @OfficeOfRG read, "Very interesting discussions on the global economy and the disruptive power of tech at the conference in Aspen."

Congress leader Milind Deora also tweeted pictures of himself and Rahul with Iceland's President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and Rahul's with former UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband attending International Affairs Conference.

Congress has been insisting that Rahul Gandhi has gone to the US to attend a conference, 'Weekend with Charlie Rose' at Aspen Institute in Colorado where eminent personalites from different walks of life like politics, finance, technology, media, medicine, sports gather to deliberate on multiple issues, as per PTI.

BJP has said that 'Weekend With Charlie Rose' was held between June 25 and July 4 claiming that Congress was "resorting to falsehood".
