At least 45 trains were delayed and six cancelled on Thursday due to fog in most parts of north India, a railway official said.

New Delhi: At least 45 trains were delayed and six cancelled on Thursday due to fog in most parts of north India, a railway official said.

According to the Northern Railway official, the Silchar-New Delhi Poorvottar Sampark Kranti Express was running over 24 hours behinnd schedule, the Jogbani-Anand Vihar Express was running over 13 hours late and the Brahmputra Mail was over 16 hours late.

The official also said that at least 17 trains were rescheduled.

Meanwhile, according to the Delhi International Airport Limited, which manages operations at the Indira Gandhi International airport here, flight operations were not affected on Thursday.
