New Delhi: As Lance Naik Hanumanthappa - miraculously found alive in critical condition buried under 25 feet of snow in the Siachen Glacier - battles for life at the R&R Hospital in Delhi, family members of the lucky Indian Army soldier prayed well as rejoiced on Tuesday.

After hearing that her husband has been rescued, Mahadevi, the wife of the brave Indian soldier hoped to meet him soon and said, she would go to temple to offer prayers.

The jawan's 62-year-old mother Basamma, who couldn't control her tears said, Hanumanthappa said, “He came into my dream and said he would return.”

The Army jawan who was buried under 25 feet of snow following an avalanche in the Siachen glacier was on Tuesday miraculously found alive in critical condition after six days of rescue efforts.

Thappa was today flown to the Research and Referral Hospital here from Siachen Glacier.

His condition is critical but stable and he is undergoing various tests in the hospital, Army sources said.

Ten soldiers were buried under tons of avalanche debris in Siachin Glacier on February 3 after an avalanche hit their post.

Massive rescue operations had been going on by the army and the Air Force since then to trace the missing soldiers.
