New Delhi: Acting tough, Indian Foreign Secretary Jaishankar, Tuesday, called in Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and issued strong demarche on continuing cross-border terrorism from Pakistan.
The demarche made specific reference to Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist and Pakistan national Bahadur Ali who was apprehended recently by security forces after a fierce gunbattle in Kashmir.
The Demarche reads: A Pakistani national Bahadur Ali @ Abu Saifullah, son of Mohd Haneef resident of village Jia Bagga, Tehsil Raiwind, District Lahore in the state of Punjab, Pakistan born on 17, 1995 in the village of Jia Bagga was arrested by Indian authorities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on July 25, 2016 together with weapons (AK-47 rifle, live rounds, grenades, grenade launcher etc as also sophisticated communication equipment and other material of Pakistani/international origin.
It further read that Ali received training from Pakistan-based LeT camps and infiltrated into India.

During interrogation, the 22-year-old terrorist confirmed to the NIA that he was trained by LeT in guerilla warfare and has met Jamaat-ud-Dawaah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed twice.
Ali said that he was in regular touch with a Control Room established in PoK, where his handler Walid was instructing him.
