Worried over political killings in Kerala, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Tuesday in a press conference in New Delhi said that a delegation of his party will meet Election Commission officials to ensure free and fair polls in the state.

New Delhi: Worried over political killings in Kerala, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Tuesday in a press conference in New Delhi said that a delegation of his party will meet Election Commission officials to ensure free and fair polls in the state.

"In the last two years, incidents of political killings are continuing in Kannur (Kerala), it's worrying," Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

"Under the leadership of JP Nadda, a delegation will meet the Election Commission on this issue," Rajiv Pratap Rudy added. "Several BJP corporators were attacked by CPI (M) workers in Kerala; strong action needs to be taken to ensure free and fair elections."

Also, condemning Youth Congress worker's murder, Smriti Irani said, "We condemn this brutal incident. We express our prayers for all those who hospitalised."

A Youth Congress worker was hacked to death allegedly by DYFI workers in Alappuzha as BJP and CPI (M) workers clashed, leaving 30 injured.
