That's exactly what a 52-year-old man from Kozhikode felt when his family refused to believe a 'real sensation' – centred in his stomach – was going up and down his body.
The unnamed man believed he was pregnant! I can feel a baby moving inside me, he said to the utter shock and disbelief of his family, that includes his wife and children.
The 'baby' arrived in their lives some since months back and as any 'pregnant' individual, the 'mom-to-be' soon began to report nausea and vomiting and avoided any form of rigorous work.
With him shunning work and taking bed rest, the family packed him off to a psychiatrist.
The doctors throughly examined the man and put him through counselling sessions – and out came the truth.
He confessed to having a homosexual relationship with another man – the 'baby' now had a father!
The doctors admitted that they have never come across such a case, adding that his active homosexual life during adolescence may have been the trigger behind the delusion.
