Phagwara: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has demanded that the files of 'Operation Bluestar' should be made public so that people know the whole truth.
Talking to media after attending a programme here at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Swamy said, "It was a foolish step which was done without proper thinking.", according to a report in TOI.
Talking about the Army entering the Golden Temple complex in June 1984, Swamy said,"I opposed it strongly; most of the Hindus were annoyed with me due to this and I lost an election but I did not bother."
"Slowly, everyone has realized that the army operation was a mistake," Swamy claimed.
Also, the BJP leader said that Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was a religious preacher.
"What I knew personally that he was raising voice against narcotics," Swamy said.
