Bengaluru: Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should not be blamed for "nobody" taking photographs with the Congress leader.

Slamming the Congress vice president for his remarks against the NDA government, he told reporters here, "Rahul Gandhi had said suit-boot ki sarkar... This gentleman had gone for introspection to an unknown place."

"...For one month he was out of Lok Sabha, when Parliament is running, it is our primary responsibility to be in Lok Sabha, but a top leader whose supporters want him to become the president of Congress party was at an unknown place doing self-introspection... Then he comes and says suit-boot ki sarkar."

"I have said it is not a suitcase sarkar, I would say Mr Modi's government is neither a suit-boot ki sarkar nor a suitcase ki sarkar, but as Arun Jaitley said it is soojh boojh ki sarkar , working for poor with dedication and mind."

Prasad said "as far as the selfie part is concerned, wherever Modiji goes, people want their photographs to be taken with him including leaders," adding, Modi should not be blamed for "nobody" taking photographs with Rahul Gandhi.
