New Delhi: Taking on the Congress for the ongoing disruptions in the Parliament, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr. Mahesh Sharma on Monday said that `no work, no pay` should be followed for the parliamentarians in the same way as is done for the labourers.

"A suggestion has come that the parliamentarians should not be getting any pay if they don`t do the work just in the same way as is done with the labourers," said Sharma.

"I still stand by my statement that `no work, no pay` should be followed with the parliamentarians as well. This is not my personal opinion, but it is a suggestion that has come across... If it starts from my side, as an individual, if I`m not working I won`t like to withdraw any pay," he added.

The Minister of State for Civil Aviation also said that the Congress Party is not supporting this bill because they don`t have anything else to do, adding that their true colour has been exposed before the nation.

"Congress is more answerable to this because they are being exposed before the whole country. They are opposing the same Land Acquisition Bill, GST Bill which they once supported."
