The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had yesterday predicted that several parts of North India will experience thunderstorm from June 1 to June 3 due to Western disturbance.

However, heatwave claimed 41 more lives in worse-hit Andhra Pradesh taking the number of deaths to 1677 in Andhra and the nation wise toll to 2,248. Seven deaths have so far been reported from Gujarat and two from Delhi.
