'RSS working on its target to reach every mandal in 3 years'

 The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is working on its target of extending its reach to every 'mandal' in the country in the next three years, Sangh's all-India Sah-Sewa Pramukh Ajit Prasad Mohapatra said.

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is working on its target of extending its reach to every 'mandal' in the country in the next three years, Sangh's all-India Sah-Sewa Pramukh Ajit Prasad Mohapatra said.

"In three years of time, we hope that we will extend our reach to every mandal in the country," Mahapatra told PTI.

'Mandal' is a term that refers to clusters of 10 to 15 villages, he said.

Mahapatra said that RSS already has its reach in 56,000 villages and their aim is to reach 6.5 lakh villages in the country.

RSS is trying to widen its base in Assam, Northeastern and South Indian states too, he said, adding, that it must take on board eminent personalities and involve more workers and volunteers.

Speaking on the conditions of farmers, he said it is very important to take special care of farmers for the country's development.
