New Delhi: Terror outfits are trying to lure youth to join their groups in Kashmir, the government informed Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.

Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said the central government is regularly monitoring the security and terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

"There are intelligence inputs that indicate that terrorist outfits are trying to lure some youths to join their outfits in Kashmir," Chaudhary said in a written reply to a question.

He added the government has adopted various counter measures to neutralise these efforts and capabilities of militants which are aimed at disturbing peace in the state.
