Time has come for Sonia, Rahul to go back to Italy: Sakshi Maharaj

New Delhi: Sparking yet another controversy, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj has taken pot shots at Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi saying that the time has come for both the leaders to go back to Italy.

The BJP MP from Unnao also dared Rahul to have a debate with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on the Lalit Modi controversy.

Earlier this year, Sakshi Maharaj had called Rahul 'mad' while trying to ridicule the Congress vice president's attempts to reach out to distressed farmers.

Rahul has been continuously attacking Swaraj over Lalitgate row.

Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his “silence” on the Lalit Modi controversy, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi recently said his party was against discussion until External Affairs Minister steps down.

Claiming that Modi’s credibility is on the decline, Rahul said the Prime Minister should listen to the voices of the people of the coutry who are demanding an answer from him over controversies confronting the government.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament has so far witnessed repeated disruptions by the opposition parties demanding the resignations of Sushma Swaraj and the chief ministers of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
