New Delhi: A slip of of tongue from Congress leader Digvijay Singh on the issue of Kashmir and Balochistan led to a controversy on Thursday.

Speaking to the mediapserons, the senior Congress leader said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is more concerned about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Balochistan, but is not willing to Kashmiris of Hindustan.”

If we have to build trust among people of Kashmir, whether it is in India-occupied Kashmir or PoK, it can only be achieved through dialogue.”

PM's confrontationist statement would only create trouble and not solve the problem.

However, as a reported asked the AICC general secretary about his reference to India-occupied Kashmir, Singh replied saying, “I said the PM is not concerned about the Kashmir which belongs to India, but concerned he is concerned about the POK.”

“Kashmir is an integral part of Kashmir,” the Congress leader asserted.

Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Monday disagreed with PM Modi's point of view on Balochistan.

At a time when Balochistan leaders are praising India's efforts for advocating the restive area's concerns at the international platform, Khurshid, a former union minister, said, “Balochistan is different from any part of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir... India's right and entitlement is over PoK and if anyone occupies part of Jammu and Kashmir we have a right to complain and take it back from them.”
