The CVC inquires into matters of alleged graft referred to it by the central government.

New Delhi: Anti-corruption watchdog CVC has made its debut on micro-blogging site Twitter.

People can follow the Central Vigilance Commission through its handle @CVCIndia.

"The main aim behind starting the Twitter handle is to expand the reach of the Commission and inform people about various activities being done by it to check corruption," a senior CVC official said.

The CVC inquires into matters of alleged graft referred to it by the central government. It also looks into cases of alleged corruption by central government employees.

The probity watchdog exercises superintendence over the working of CBI in corruption related cases.
