Arms dump unearthed

Srinagar: Security forces, on Sunday, unearthed a major arms dump of militants in a village in south Kashmir's Anantnag district and recovered a large quantity of ammunition and explosives.

The arms and explosives were hidden in a water tank in Dialgam village, a police spokesman said.

The recoveries included five kgs of explosives, two IEDs, an Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, two UBGL grenades, two pistol magazines and a Chinese grenade.

A rifle silencer, an RPG booster, a universal machine gun magazine, 20 detonators, 92 rounds of Pika ammunition and 47 rounds of AK 47 rifle were also recovered, the spokesman said.
