As early trends indicated that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in majority seats in Jharkhand, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said that it is imminent that the party will form a government in the state.

Srinagar: As early trends indicated that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in majority seats in Jharkhand, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said that it is imminent that the party will form a government in the state.

“Forming government in Jharkhand is imminent,” Parrikar said in his reaction to reporters.

Talking about the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls, he said that one needs to wait before final results are declared.

“Let us wait for final results to be declared for Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

According to latest trends, BJP is leading on 24 seats in Jammu and Kashmir followed by PDP, NC and Congress on 24, 16 and 17 seats respectively.

Meanwhile, trends have predicted that BJP is leading on 38 seats out of total 81 followed by JMM on 22, JVM on 8 and Congress on 6.
