Jammu: Demanding immediate steps to
ensure adequate medical facilities for Amarnath pilgrims, the
Shiv Sena on Thursday said that compensation should be paid to the
families of those who have died during the pilgrimage.
Teams of doctors and medical equipment including
oxygen cylinders should deployed enroute the cave shrine from
Pahalagam and Baltal base camps to save precious lives
immediately, president of Sena's J&K unit Ashok Gupta told
reporters here today.
He also demanded a judicial probe into the reasons
behind the "sudden increase in deaths" during the pilgrimage.
