Srinagar: Opposition People`s Democratic
Party on Tuesday said tragedies like the Maloora blast in which
three siblings were killed underlined the need to demilitarise
civilian areas.
Such incidents also emphasised the need to change the
existing mindset of approaching the Kashmir problem with force
only, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said after visiting the
bereaved family.
"It has been the consistent stand of my party that
people should be allowed full liberties and freedom provided
under a democratic set up in which security forces do not
breathe down their necks all the time."
Three children of a family were killed when a shell
exploded in their house at Maloora Sunday night.
The children were fiddling with the shell when it
exploded, police said.
