J&K Highway reopened for one-way traffic

The men and machines of Border Road Organisation, cleared the highway of snow and mudslides late this afternoon.

Jammu: The Jammu-Srinagar national highway, the sole surface link with the Kashmir Valley, was reopened on Monday for one-way vehicular traffic after fourth day long closure.
"Jammu-Srinagar National highway has been reopened for one-way traffic. All the stranded vehicles have been cleared", Chief Minister Omar Abdullah told reporters here this evening.
"There is no stranded vehicle enroute. All have been
cleared", Omar said adding the government came forward
with help of all types--from food to shelter- whatever was
possible.

(BRO), cleared the highway of snow and mudslides late this
afternoon, officials said.
